Job Description
Responsibilities•
Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
• Evaluate and articulate technical requirements and identify impact, risk and benefit of alternative solutions
• Extensive experience interpreting user needs and writing functional
specifications for new systems, systems changes and/or system
enhancements
• Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing and
developing systems and processes and procedures that are cost effective
and meet user requirements
• Ability to become a process and subject matter expert
• Configure system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and
acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet
business requirements
• Create test metrics, test plans, identify regression tests and partners with QA for system, integration and regression tests• Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring more junior level staff and leading meetings
• Take a leadership role in project management activities, including
estimating, developing, and monitoring project plans for medium sized
projects, often spanning multiple application areas
• Possess a high aptitude for interpreting technical documentation as well as
authoring or updating documents including help desk run books and
training documentation
• Provide 3rd level post implementation support to business users, utilizing strong client service skills• Self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and dynamic priorities
• Demonstrate ability to effectively work both independently and within cross functional project teams
• Manage budget related to area of responsibility
Qualifications
• BS in Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Work experience of 5+ years in the Supply Chain & Logistics arena
• Possess strong background implementing cloud based solutions and vendor management experience
• Possess a strong attention to detail; superior follow-up skills and be result
oriented with effective oral / written communications ability
• Possess strong analytical skill to devise solutions to complex problems
• Ability to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical
staff at all levels of the organization, and to build consensus across
the organization
• Have a proven track record in meeting deadlines and deliver successfully
• Be a life long learner with a high just in time learning capability
• Ability to work independently and prioritize to achieve objectives
• Being technically creative with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks
• Proficient in general IT (database, security, networking) concepts.
• Knowledge of merchandising and inventory systems required• Project management experience preferred
• Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills.
