Job Description

Integrated Foods Group is an international food processing and agricultural business, operating large-scale farming and boutique lamb processing sites across Gisborne and Napier.

This is an opportunity to step up, take ownership, and make a real difference to your career within a well-supported, improvement focused farming business. The role is available due to internal movement and progression into farm management, reflecting our focus on growing our people.

Integrated Foods Limited is seeking a capable and motivated Stock Manager to join our Whatatutu operation. Working across 6,000 hectares within an 8,250-hectare farming business, you will play a key role in leading day-to-day operations and driving livestock and pasture performance with support of good people and process.

40 minutes from Gisborne, the Whatatutu block is a large-scale East Coast hill country operation, running simple sheep and beef breeding systems at scale. The property is typical of the region, challenging, rewarding, and requiring good planning, strong stockmanship, and disciplined execution. Horses are an important part of the system, and a capable team of working dogs is essential.

You will work closely and be supported by strong senior leadership across operational, advisory, and company functions. This role offers responsibility, balanced with clear structures for development. Your days will be focused on leading and supporting team members, implementing seasonal workflows with support of established contractors, whilst contributing to feed planning and financial budgets with our monthly team meetings.

The wider Integrated Foods business operates across 8,250 hectares with a clear focus on people, pasture and protein, supported by aligned systems to identify and encourage continuous improvement. This role will suit an experienced Head Shepherd/Stock Manager or a ready to run Shepherd who wants to take the next step.

You will bring:
*A quality team of working dogs
*Horse experience and confidence in hill country
*A strong understanding of seasonal workflows and stock performance
*The ability to plan, prioritise, and execute work programmes
*An understanding of feed budgeting and livestock systems
*A positive attitude toward team leadership, people development and safety
*A current NZ driver’s licence

We offer:
*Competitive remuneration package,
*Accommodation
*Internet
*Ongoing training and development opportunities.
*Supportive leadership and team environment.
*Background of providing people pathways to premium roles.
