Senior Solution Consultant will be responsible for supporting the Edge Cloud Business Development team and the regional technical sales organizations with expertise in solution architecture planning and tender responses for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) based opportunities and Customers.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Sales teams with customer presentations, demonstrations, training, trials and PoC’s related to pre-sales activities or offer presentations
Solution design specialist with deep technical knowledge on NFV based networks and technologies with the ability to configure optimized network designs out of complex requirements
Carry out network studies and network designs considering product availability, margin and competitiveness of the Adtran solution
Design authority for all projects, which require the use of product releases, which are not generally available or for large and complex projects
Maintains a close relationship to Product Line Management (PLM) and Research & Development (R&D) for the support of pre-General Availability solutions and also provide feedback of market requirements in the form of feature requests and statements of requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

Engineering degree in IT, electronics, telecommunications
Excellent understanding of IT, OpenStack and communications networks
Good knowledge on IP/Ethernet and networking technologies
OSS/BSS and general systems knowledge
Strong ability to work against given deadlines with short response times
Ability to take fast and autonomous decisions and to work on own initiative
Team player with solid presentation and communication skills
Flexibility to travel worldwide even on short notice and openness to other cultures
Skilled writer and communicator leveraging Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Good English Skills
