The job

We are seeking a strategic and customer-centric Senior Product Manager – Value Realization & Portfolio Strategy to shape the vision and direction of AVEVA’s next-generation cloud authoring services. You will play a pivotal role in defining how customers gain value from our cloud-native data services, enabling seamless authoring, integration, and lifecycle management of Digital Twin data across projects and operations.

This role focuses on turning customer needs into measurable outcomes, defining a clear Value Realization roadmap, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver incremental, high-impact improvements. You will work across Product, Portfolio, R&D, Strategy, and Customer teams to ensure AVEVA’s cloud portfolio consistently drives customer adoption, satisfaction, and long-term business value.

Key responsibilities

Customer Insight & Value Discovery

  • Build strong relationships with customers to deeply understand their needs, challenges, and Jobs to Be Done.

  • Gather and analyze customer insights to identify where users struggle and where the greatest opportunities for value lie.

  • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring insights drive prioritization and product decisions.

Value Realization Strategy

  • Partner with the Value Realization (VR) Architect and VR Program Manager to guide the path toward measurable customer value.

  • Collaborate with Strategy and Portfolio teams to define hypotheses, outcomes, and success measures using the Value Realization Canvas.

  • Conduct market, customer, and user research to inform data-driven decisions.

Portfolio & Opportunity Definition

  • Develop the long-term Value Realization roadmap, aligning it with portfolio strategy and customer needs.

  • Define and prioritize Opportunities and end-to-end Jobs to be demonstrated, with milestones and clear measures of success.

  • Partner with subject-matter and domain experts to translate customer outcomes into actionable initiatives.

Guiding Execution & Delivery

  • Work closely with execution teams to deliver incremental value through 3–9-month iterations (MVP-focused).

  • Influence product and capability backlogs to ensure alignment with the Value Realization roadmap.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could affect value delivery.

  • Provide ongoing progress updates to Portfolio, Strategy, and business stakeholders.

Measuring Success & Course Correction

  • Define leading and lagging value metrics and regularly apply them to assess customer and business impact.

  • Analyze delivered outcomes against expectations to guide adjustments, refinements, or new opportunities.

  • Provide insights on adoption, usage patterns, and customer value to drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Contribute to go-to-market and release readiness initiatives.

  • Share best practices across teams to strengthen value-driven delivery processes.

  • Work closely with business, engineering, R&D, marketing, and customer organizations to ensure clarity, alignment, and shared success.

Essential requirements

  • Senior-level Product Management experience

  • Strong strategic thinker with ability to break strategy into actionable steps

  • Proven experience delivering customer value through lean, MVP-driven releases

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to measure value outcomes and adapt quickly based on insights

  • Experience influencing multiple teams and managing complex stakeholder environments

  • Comfort with ambiguity and alignment across multiple product areas

Desired skills and competencies

  • Experience with value-driven product practices

  • Familiarity with hypothesis testing and customer risk validation

  • Understanding of agile and lean product principles

  • Curiosity about adjacent technologies and willingness to learn new domains

Hybrid working

By default, employees are expected to be in their local AVEVA office three days a week, but some positions are fully office-based. Roles supporting particular customers or markets are sometimes remote.
