Responsible for the characterization of novel optical, electrical, and electro-optical photonic devices and circuits. Strong expertise in understanding, adding to and developing test software Define test plan for devices and circuits and develop new tests Work cross-functionally to transfer tests to production Perform wafer-level and die-level probing using DC and RF probe stations Develop and maintain automated test setups using Python, MATLAB Analyze large datasets to extract trends, correlations, and performance limits using Python, JMP or other similar software. Identify process sensitivities and systematic error sources
Masters or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Science or related technical discipline. Hands-on experience in photonic device characterization. Extensive experience with DC/RF probe, wafer-level / die-level tester development. Understanding of silicon photonics devices and architectures. Proficient in Python or MATLAB for testing automation and data analysis
Experience with development of complex photonics circuits Knowledge of foundry PDKs and silicon photonics process constraints Experience in high-volume test or yield analysis Hands on process development experience for optical alignments
