About Aragorn AI
Aragorn AI is reimagining how People Ops teams operate in the age of AI. We’re building a platform that unifies HR data and transforms how organizations make decisions, unlock insights, and run operations. Our mission is simple but ambitious: help HR teams move faster, smarter, and with more confidence.
We’re on a mission to reach $10M ARR and you will be at the heart of that journey — building the AI-powered systems that will redefine how companies manage their people. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role — you will own major pieces of our frontend architecture, push the boundaries of design system implementation, and ensure a world-class user experience for our customers
What You’ll Own
You will architect, build, and optimize the frontend that powers Aragorn’s Analytics & Agentic HR Studio platform. You will:
Lead development in React, TypeScript, and Webpack, ensuring performance, maintainability, and scalability
Implement and evolve our micro frontend architecture to support modular, scalable product delivery
Collaborate directly with the Product Designer and Head of Product to translate UX designs into high-quality, performant code
Work with our design system, ensuring components are reusable, accessible, and optimized for developer experience
Critique and collaborate on UX/UI designs, proactively identifying implementation constraints and optimization opportunities.
Work closely with backend engineers to define, consume, and optimize APIs for efficient data communication.
Make strategic decisions on when to leverage third-party libraries versus custom implementations to balance speed of delivery with long-term maintainability
Own CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications — configuration, optimization, and deployment.
Champion frontend performance best practices, from bundle size reduction to runtime optimization.
Contribute to setting technical standards and architecture consistency for the frontend team
Participate in architecture and roadmap discussions to ensure scalability and long-term flexibility of the platform.
You Might Be a Fit If You
Have 5+ years of professional experience building modern React applications at scale
Have deep expertise in TypeScript, Webpack, and modern frontend tooling
Have implemented micro frontend architecture in production environments
Have built and scaled component-based design systems in collaboration with design teams
Can translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, performant implementations — and know when and how to challenge a design for feasibility
Have a strong sense of UX and can identify ways to simplify complex workflows
Understand REST and GraphQL API structures, and how to design frontend code that integrates cleanly with backend services
Have experience configuring and deploying applications in CI/CD environments
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that other developers can easily build on.
Are fluent in frontend performance optimization strategies — from bundle splitting to virtualization.
Thrive in collaborative environments where designers, engineers, and product work as one team.
Enjoy balancing speed of delivery with architectural and code quality
Why This Role Is Special
Product-defining impact: you will shape the UI/UX of the core Analytics and Agentic Studio platform used by enterprise HR teams
Close collaboration with founders and product design: fast feedback loops and zero corporate bureaucracy
Cutting-edge architecture: micro frontends, dynamic design systems, real-time analytics, and agentic AI
Product ownership: equity, technical decision-making power, and the ability to leave your mark on a category-defining product
What Success Looks Like in the First 6 Months
Production-ready micro frontend architecture supporting multiple product modules
Fully integrated and documented design system adopted across all frontend codebases
Highly performant React applications that load fast and run smoothly
Clear documentation of frontend architecture, component usage, and deployment workflows.
Seamless collaboration with Product Design and Backend teams, reducing handoff friction and speeding up delivery cycles
