The role
Dojo is more than a payments platform; we're building a new ecosystem for our customers, and the Dojo Device OS team is at the heart of it all. This is where our hardware and software intersect to transform simple payment terminals into a world of apps, and you can be the one to lead it.
As the Senior Engineering Team Lead, you will guide a talented team of Android engineers building the foundational software that powers our devices. We're looking for a delivery-focused leader with a deep Android engineering background who is passionate about mentoring engineers and building a software ecosystem that supercharges our hardware. What you will do...

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of Android engineers, fostering a collaborative culture where problems are solved effectively.

Drive the technical execution and delivery of the team’s roadmap in an agile environment, ensuring a high rate of delivery while maintaining exceptional quality.

Take technical ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from architectural design and SDK definition to deployment and operational health.

Build the foundational software platform, including a Launcher app and device-specific SDKs, that enables a seamless experience for our applications and our partners.

Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other team leads to align on strategy and deliver a cohesive product experience.
What you will bring...

Proven experience in a technical leadership role, managing and mentoring a team of Android engineers in a high-impact environment.

A strong, hands-on background in Android development with deep knowledge of Kotlin and modern frameworks like Jetpack Compose.

Experience in library or SDK development, with an understanding of how to build extensible software for other developers to use.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical partners.

A pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with experience in agile methodologies and a strong belief in quality, automated testing, and CI/CD.

A product-centric passion for creating elegant, reliable software that solves real-world problems for customers and partners.
