Sales Lead

Reports to: Finance Lead 

Function: Finance

Location: London

Base salary: £75,000–£80,000 

OTE: £150,000–£170,000 

Proptech experience desirable but not essential



Overview

 

Metrikus is a building efficiency platform that helps organisations to make their spaces more efficient, creating positive change for occupants and the environment. 

 

Founded in 2019, Metrikus was launched to solve one problem: inefficiency in buildings. Whether it’s due to wasted energy consumption, underutilised office space or poor productivity caused by the indoor environment, commercial buildings are rarely performing the way they could be. 

 

Our cloud-based platform helps improve building efficiency by aggregating data from multiple sources – be it from IoT sensors, the Building Management System (BMS), or elsewhere – into one central place and transform it to make it easier to analyse, compare and contextualise.

Who we are looking for

This is a hands-on commercial role. 



You will personally win new business while designing the sales motion that will scale with the company. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team, Product and Marketing to sharpen positioning, define our ideal customers and turn opportunity into repeatable revenue. 

 

We are looking for a team player here who can develop strategies in line with other areas of business to ensure the customer experience is enhanced at every point along the sales journey. We're a typical start-up: we roll up our sleeves and do what has to be done to provide the best possible experience for our customers.


What We’re Looking For 

  • 5+ years’ experience selling complex B2B SaaS or data-driven platforms 
  • Demonstrated success building and converting pipeline  not just inheriting it.
  • Experience in PropTech or adjacent sectors (IoT, energy, workplace technology, operational analytics)
  • Experience managing enterprise sales cycles, including procurement, security reviews, and technical evaluation. 
  • Experience selling solutions that combine software, hardware and professional services.
  • Comfortable operating in a fluid environment and shaping a go-to-market motion 
  • Builder mentality  energised by creating something, not managing something 
  • Experience in proptech, IoT, energy, workplace or operational analytics is helpful but not essential. 



What You’ll Do 

  • Create and close new business opportunities across mid-market and enterprise accounts 
  • Build pipeline through outbound activity, partnerships and targeted prospecting and leveraging your existing industry network and relationships. 
  • Own the full sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract 
  • Develop compelling commercial cases for operational, energy and asset stakeholders 
  • Help refine ICP, messaging and pricing 
  • Feed structured customer insight back into product development 
  • Establish commercial discipline, forecasting clarity and CRM hygiene 
  • Lay the foundations for a future sales team 



What Success Looks Like 

In your first 6–12 months you will have: 

  • Built a qualified and visible pipeline 
  • Closed meaningful new ARR, while hitting agreed targets
  • Strengthened our commercial positioning 
  • Brought structure and predictability to revenue discussions
