The Role
We are seeking a full-time Sales Coordinator to join our International Reservations team. The main objective of this role is to provide operational, administrative and sales support to ensure delivery of a seamless travel experience for our guests.
This is a great entry level role into the Travel and Tourism Industry.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide sales support to a team of Travel Specialists including quote proposals, final documentation checks and booking systems assistance.
Act as point of contact for clients and travel agent when Travel Specialist is not available
Upload quotes and bookings from clients and travel agents into in-house reservations system (Travel Studio)
Book packages or individual services as outlined by the travel specialists
Produce accurate quote proposals and confirmation letters
Maintain and update itinerary text in Reservations System
Correctly load supplier cost and sell rates and margins as per A&K requirements
Update procedures and supporting resources as required
Required knowledge and experience
Prior experience in the travel industry or recent travel qualifications
Previous experience in an administration or support role
Experience in a fast-paced office environment with high volume workload
Confidence in dealing with multiple currencies and different rates of exchange
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Experience in using an in-house reservations system (Travel Studio preferred)
Knowledge of a Global Distribution System (GDS) preferably Sabre or Amadeus
Commitment to the highest level of customer service
High degree of attention to details and excellent organisation skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Strong time management skills
Ability to work autonomously and within specified deadlines
Team player with an enthusiastic approach to the job
Strong multi-tasking skills and flexibility required
