Ready to be part of something big? At KRUSH Labs, a privately owned R&D center, we push the boundaries of unmanned systems and advanced hardware. We’re building next-generation platforms that fuse resilient communications, AI-driven autonomy, and precision navigation, designed to perform in the most demanding real-world environments. Join us to tackle complex challenges, turn cutting-edge research into deployed technology, and help shape the future of autonomous systems!
We are building a compact, high-performance radar system designed to detect and track small UAVs in complex environments, including low altitude, cluttered, and urban terrain.
As a Radar Systems Engineer, you will take ownership of radar architecture, signal processing design, and real-world validation — from theoretical modeling to field deployment. You will work across RF, embedded, and FPGA domains to develop robust detection and tracking capabilities for low-RCS targets in challenging operational conditions.
This role offers the opportunity to design radar systems at the architecture level and rapidly transition from simulation to live field testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and define radar system architecture (FMCW, Pulse-Doppler, or MIMO)
- Develop range-Doppler processing pipelines
- Implement CFAR algorithms, clutter suppression techniques, and tracking filters
- Extract and analyze micro-Doppler signatures for UAV classification
- Optimize detection performance for low-RCS targets (<0.1 m²)
- Support RF front-end and antenna design decisions
- Deploy radar prototypes and conduct live detection trials
- Contribute to system validation, performance analysis, and iterative improvements
Requirements
- Strong foundation in radar theory and signal processing
- Experience working with FMCW or pulse radar systems
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for modeling and algorithm development
- Solid understanding of Doppler processing, RCS, SNR, and clutter modeling
- Ability to work across RF, embedded, and FPGA teams in a multidisciplinary environment
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to move from simulation to real-world validation
Skills & Abilities Required
- Radar architecture design (FMCW, Pulse-Doppler, MIMO)
- Range-Doppler processing
- CFAR and detection algorithms
- Clutter suppression and tracking filters
- Micro-Doppler analysis and target classification
- Signal processing and performance optimization
- Cross-functional collaboration (RF, FPGA, embedded systems)
Additional assets:
- Experience with MIMO radar or beamforming
- Background in automotive radar systems (12 / 24 / 77 GHz)
- Experience in micro-Doppler-based target classification
