JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Opportunity:
This R&D Project Manager works out of our Alameda, California location. This individual will support regulated medical device software products that interface to cloud-based solutions, bio-wearables and various analytics platforms. This role leads, with close supervision, cross‑discipline technical teams delivering mobile app products to market. Working knowledge of mobile app tech stack and various software development methodologies is helpful, but certifications are not required. We are looking for technical professionals with a passion for planning and organization. The initial assignment for this role supports an NPD effort developing a first-of-its kind medial wearable that does not exist in the marketplace.
What you’ll do:
- Manage delivery of digital products and software‑driven development initiatives by coordinating integrated plans, sprint schedules, and cross‑functional dependencies.
- Facilitate operating cadence (cross-functional meetings, design reviews), safeguard documentation and compliance, enforce stage-gate criteria and continuous risk reduction.
- Help coordinate the resolution of technical challenges and translate tradeoffs to business teams in clear terms.
- Facilitate operating cadence (cross-functional meetings, design reviews), safeguard documentation and compliance (robust design control traceability and audit-ready design history files), enforce stage-gate criteria and continuous risk reduction.
- Author and, maintain DHF and DMR elements for digital products in accordance with design control requirements.
- Use best-in-class project planning tools and methods, enabled by AI business productivity tools.
- Work in a matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar
- At least 4 years of experience in mobile ecosystem knowledge in the medical device industry.
- Experience with mobile QA and validation, cloud architecture, API governance, and CI/CD coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience delivering digital products to hospital environments and the unique challenges associated with that environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.
- Experience in design roles within Systems, Software Engineering functions or similar.
- Program/Project Management certifications.
The base pay for this position is
$100,000.00 – $200,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
