The role
The Private Travel Specialist is entrusted with curating, pricing, and presenting bespoke travel experiences designed to delight our most discerning and high‑profile clientele. This role demands an exceptional eye for detail and a deep understanding of luxury, ensuring every itinerary is not only meticulously crafted but infused with exclusivity and refinement.

Beyond design, the Private Travel Specialist oversees the flawless execution of each journey—securing premium ground services, anticipating client needs, and orchestrating seamless experiences that consistently surpass expectations. Every interaction, every touchpoint, and every moment is delivered with the highest standard of VIP service.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design custom Tailormade itineraries in consultation with Travel Advisors.

  • Develop and nurture a client base of repeat business

  • Communicate and advocate product and price value in support of successful conversion

  • Demonstrate competency with destination knowledge of Australia and New Zealand

  • Meet or exceed established sales, operational & guest relations goals

  • Confirm required services with Third-Party suppliers

  • Manage all financial aspects of booking according to company guidelines

  • Ensure all Travel Studio and OneIs booking details are complete and accurate in accordance with department guidelines

  • Maximize conversions by following up on Quote Pending bookings in CRM within established timeframe

  • Meet or exceed established A&K Service standards

  • Make recommendations for process, procedure and technology improvements

  • Work with our suppliers to ensure that service delivery is exceeded
     

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role

  • Strong Australia and New Zealand geographic, destination & cultural knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Intermediate Amadeus skills preferred but not essential

  • Intermediate computer skills required (Microsoft Office) and ability to quickly master new technologies

  • Foreign language skills preferred but not essential

  • Good judgement and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Act as a positive role model for the team

  • Drive to achieve results, initiate personal goals and close sales

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Detail oriented with excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
     

Other information:

  • Travel within Australia and New Zealand may be required (and maintain a current passport without restrictions)

  • Participate in the Weekend Duty Roster on a scheduled basis.
