Job Description:
Job Family Definition:
Set and maintain quality standards for company products through the use of systematic processes. Develops, modifies, and executes software test strategies, plans and suites. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. May develop tools and environments to automate test execution. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Responsibilities:
Develop, Execute, Automate detailed feature test plans for the security features and Cloud devices.
Review Market Requirements Document, Product Description Document, and Functional Specification
Understand the customer scenarios, security solutions and integrate them into the test scenarios.
Debug, recreate and verify the customer issues/queries.
Communicate and document the ideas across the teams.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Typically 15+ years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience and thorough understanding of Network/L7 security technologies such as NG Firewall, IDS/IPS systems (commercial/open source)Application identification, SSL Proxy, SDWAN, Web Proxy, User Firewall.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience in automation/scripting and programming languages like Python/TCL/Perl/Shell with excellent command on Regular Expressions and good knowledge of UNIX/LINUX internals
Experience/exposure to L7 protocols such as HTTP, SMB, DNS, SMTP, and IMAP is a plus.
Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol suite and Linux working knowledge.
Ability to research functional specifications, RFCs, other technical documentation and create effective, efficient, innovative solutions.
Knowledge and working experience in AI/ML/DL area is a plus
Good team player with a can-do attitude and ability to demonstrate large scale project execution spanning geographies/counterpart teams.
