Principal Engineer I - Civil ( Underground Engineer)

Job Description Summary
The Principal Engineer is part of the hierarchical organization, reporting directly to Team Manager as direct discipline superior. Principal Engineer is having strong ability in technical matters with profound knowledge of applicable Engineering principles and processes with an emphasis on safe, compliant, reliable, efficient and practical solutions required for the engineering design and execution of proposals and projects. Principal engineer acts as the discipline lead engineer for various proposals and projects and is responsible to deliver the work within contractual framework, quality, and schedule and overall cost effectiveness, in order to meet the overall project desired results.

• Thorough understanding of feasibility studies  and philosophy / layout  development of drainage systems (rainwater , OWS ,CWS , Chemical sewers etc)

• Proficiency in hydraulic analysis and development of gravity flow channels and liquid filled drainage networks including engineering of sizes , levels and details for open channels ,catch basins , manholes (including structural design of the same ) and connecting pipes  along with integration to existing underground system 

• Development of composite underground plans , including isometrics for fabrication

• Familiarity with P&IDs to determine inflows  and connectivity to existing plant network

• Development of roads and paving layouts including the structural detailing , coordinating and  managing the interfaces with drainage networks

• Develop details of cleanouts , funnels  and other elements for underground gravity systems 

• Familiarity with underground  pressurized  systems .

• Develop details of connection between UG/AG for the rain water , chemical sewer system etc.

• Proficiency in structural design of minor concrete elements like foundations , pedestals , retaining walls , pits etc. is highly desired.

• Discipline: Civil and Structural

• Work Experience: Experience in EPC or Detail design engineering company in the

• engineering discipline for execution of projects in various sectors

• like Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, Petrochemicals.

• Experience range :

• 13 to 15 years experience in Underground projects( MUST)
