Your mission
As part of our R&D team, you bridge the gap between chemical theory and industrial practice. You design systematic experimental programs, analyze complex material data, and continuously improve our sustainable polymer formulations – with direct impact on real-world performance.
Material Development & Scale-Up: Plan and independently execute compounding trials to optimize polymer properties. Work hands-on with polymer reactors and polymer processing equipment (extruders/compounders). Experience in kilogram-scale polycondensation is highly valued.
Material Characterization: Analyze and interpret mechanical and thermal properties (MFI, DSC, rheology and tensile tests) and derive robust structure–property relationships.
Design of Experiments (DoE): Develop systematic test plans for new sustainable polymer solutions and derive next development steps based on data-driven insights.
Documentation & Communication: Prepare results for R&D management and create technical reports and presentations.
Your profile
Education: Degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, or comparable. Alternatively, extensive relevant industry experience as long-term polymer technician with strong R&D focus.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in laboratory, pilot plant, or production environments. Experience with high-temperature/high-pressure reactors and vacuum systems is a plus. Structured onboarding to our specific equipment is provided.
Technical Expertise: Strong background in polymer analytics and solid understanding of structure–property relationships. Confident handling of thermal and rheological analysis methods. Knowledge of organic polymer chemistry and practical experience in polycondensation are welcome.
Language: Fluent in English, written and spoken. German is a strong advantage.
