Job Description

Personal Assistant to the CEO

Location: Remote, India

Start preference: Only apply if you're ready to join immediately or within 30 days

Overlap Required: Minimum 6 hours with US time zones

Compensation: $1,000 – $3,000/month (based on experience and interview process)

About the role

We are looking for a sharp, highly organized, and proactive Personal Assistant to support our CEO/Founder. This is a senior-level PA role — you will be a trusted right hand to the CEO, managing a fast-moving schedule and handling sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment. You must be comfortable operating in a startup environment where priorities shift very quickly, things move really fast, and you are expected to figure things out with minimal hand-holding. Experience supporting a founder or CEO at a startup is a strong plus.

What you'll do

  • Own the CEO's calendar and inbox end-to-end: scheduling, prioritizing, and protecting time across multiple time zones

  • Manage complex, multi-leg travel arrangements including flights, hotels, visas, ground transportation, and itineraries

  • Triage and manage communications on behalf of the CEO: emails, follow-ups, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders

  • Conduct time-sensitive research and deliver clear, well-structured, actionable briefs

  • Manage purchases, deliveries, returns, and day-to-day logistical tasks with full ownership

  • Coordinate delivery of gifts, documents, and packages as directed

  • Troubleshoot urgent and last-minute issues in real time, often with little context - and resolve them

  • Anticipate needs, flag gaps, and take initiative on tasks before being asked

  • Handle all confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant - preferably supporting a founder or CEO at a startup

  • Proven track record of working independently in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment

  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong bias for follow-through - nothing falls through the cracks

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Highly responsive, resourceful and reliable - able to be available and effective during at least 6 hours of overlap with US time zones

  • Experience managing travel logistics, vendor coordination, and personal tasks for a senior executive

  • Comfortable with shifting priorities, incomplete information, and last-minute changes — this is a startup, not a corporation

  • High level of emotional intelligence and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters

  • Tech-savvy: proficient with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, or similar

What sets you apart

  • You've worked closely with a founder or CEO at a startup and understand the fast pace and unpredictability that comes with it

  • You take ownership - if something needs to get done, you figure it out

  • You don't wait to be told - you anticipate, act, and communicate proactively

  • You thrive in ambiguity and treat every problem as yours to solve
