Manager – AI Architect / Engineering

This role provides strategic leadership and technical oversight in the design and implementation of enterprise-grade AI architecture. The position blends advanced architectural expertise, including cloud-based AI infrastructure (Azure), large language models (LLMs), and scalable machine learning pipelines—with managerial responsibilities such as cross-functional stakeholder management and long-term technology road mapping. The successful candidate will help deliver productionized AI solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, data governance, and security standards. Onsite role.

Scope of activities:

• Design and oversee scalable, secure, and cost-effective AI/ML architecture across the enterprise
• Define the AI technology stack and select appropriate tools, frameworks, and cloud services
• Partner with Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other business units to align AI initiatives with strategic objectives
• Steward our AI policy and ensure adherence for both internal and external solutions
• Lead the development of production-ready AI pipelines, ensuring high availability and performance
• Establish and enforce best practices for AI ethics, data privacy, and model governance
• Provide high-level technical mentorship to Senior Analysts and Data Engineers
• Manage the full lifecycle of AI projects, from conceptualization to deployment and monitoring
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies (e.g., Generative AI, RAG) for business applicability
• Direct code and architecture reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise standards
• Collaborate with IT and Security teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance
• Collaborate with external service providers to deploy governed solutions for our business partners

Credentials and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 10 years’ professional experience in Data Architecture with recent experience in AI are required. 

• Strong knowledge of data science libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience working with Python
• Experience leading multiple, concurrent projects
• Experience with cloud, specifically Microsoft Azure
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases (SQL Server and Snowflake)
• Experience with version control systems (Azure DevOps)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with leading global teams in multiple locations
• Designed and implemented enterprise scale solutions using LLM’s such as GPT, Claude, Gemini
• Defined reference Architecture of LLM applications including agents and chat bots
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred
