Job Description:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities*:

  • Achieves the budgeted gross margin as outlined by senior leadership in all assigned areas.
  • Ensures lead opportunities are maximized and customers are effectively retained and satisfied.
  • Oversees and provides feedback on labor cost versus revenue.
  • Review invoices/paperwork submitted by field employees daily to ensure all necessary   information is recorded neatly and accurately.  
  • Walk jobs regularly and verifies readiness.
  • Coordinates installation dates with scheduling team and ensures job are ready for installation
  • Provides ongoing supervision, training, coaching and feedback to improve performance and meet objectives of all assigned areas to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provides leadership, training and coaching to ensure optimal performance of the Warranty team
  • Promptly addresses performance issues
  • Provides regular performance updates and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and distributed for scheduled jobs.
  • Ensures that all administrative guidelines are followed for reporting and paperwork.
  • Promptly addresses performance issues
  • Continually searches for ways to improve results and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for recommending process/operational improvement.
  • Assures all work performed in the field and in the office meets the highest quality standards
  • Ensures that all permits are pulled and inspected as local code requires
  • Fleet management to include approving repairs & maintaining driver & vehicle compliance.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years HVAC installation experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Beg/Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a field supervisor in HVAC Industry, residential new construction or related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage projects and resources.
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • EPA certification.
  • Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Working Conditions:

  • Partial time spent in an office environment.
  • Partial time spent in a field environment (hot attics, crawl spaces, uneven terrain, construction sites and finished homes).
  • Travel by vehicle to and from work locations
  • Regularly exposed to construction environments involving equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials and odors
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Frequently performs tasks requiring climbing, bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching
  • Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding (using the appropriate fall protection requirements)
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots
  • Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting
  • Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely.
  • With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others 
  • Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad
  • Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools
