Build and shape a next-generation finance function across an international investment group.
As Head of Group Controlling, you will take on a high-impact role at the center of Viessmann Generations Group’s investment platform. Beyond building and leading the group-wide controlling function, this role is designed as a strategic development opportunity for high-potential finance leaders with a strong analytical foundation and the ambition to grow into broader leadership responsibilities. You will work directly with senior leadership and the CFO to create transparency across a diverse international portfolio.
Viessmann Generations Group Overview
As a globally active, independent family business in its fourth generation, we have been shaping living spaces for generations to come since 1917. Under the leadership of Max Viessmann, we pursue our mission with a long-term perspective and entrepreneurial spirit. Today, the Viessmann Generations Group supports over 30 mid-sized companies and family businesses across Europe and the US – all united by their active contribution to the energy transition. We invest capital, expertise, and passion in three core impact areas:
Climate: Renewable energy, carbon reduction, and green infrastructure
Water: Solutions for water scarcity, quality, and efficiency
Food: Sustainable agriculture, supply chain innovation, and food technology
Our goal: to create impact – ecological, societal, and entrepreneurial.
The Viessmann Way supports how we work, lead, and create value together - whether as a team member, entrepreneur or partner in our ecosystem. It is not a rulebook, but a compass: a living set of principles shaped by over a century of entrepreneurship and guided by our long-term purpose.
The Opportunity
This role goes beyond classic controlling. You will design and build a scalable, group-wide finance and performance management architecture across a dynamic portfolio of companies. At the same time, this position is intentionally designed as a high-exposure role for individuals with strong foundations in consulting or top-tier finance environments. You will operate at the intersection of finance transformation and portfolio steering, gaining deep insight into investment decision-making and value creation.
Working closely with the CFO and finance team, you will help establish controlling as a true strategic partner - enabling better decisions, faster execution, and long-term value creation across the group.
