Job Description

Build the future of group finance in a dynamic holding environment.

This role sits at the core of financial transparency at Viessmann Generations Group. You will ensure accurate and compliant consolidation across a diverse and growing portfolio while actively shaping the transition toward automated, system-driven processes. Designed as a build-up role, this position offers high potential to evolve from strong execution into ownership of transformation and enablement at group level.

Viessmann Generations Group Overview

As a globally active, independent family business in its fourth generation, we have been shaping living spaces for generations to come since 1917. Under the leadership of Max Viessmann, we pursue our mission with a long-term perspective and entrepreneurial spirit. Today, the Viessmann Generations Group supports over 30 mid-sized companies and family businesses across Europe and the US โ€“ all united by their active contribution to the energy transition. We invest capital, expertise, and passion in three core impact areas:

  • Climate: Renewable energy, carbon reduction, and green infrastructure

  • Water: Solutions for water scarcity, quality, and efficiency

  • Food: Sustainable agriculture, supply chain innovation, and food technology

Our goal is to create impact โ€“ ecological, societal, and entrepreneurial.

The Viessmann Way supports how we work, lead, and create value together - whether as a team member, entrepreneur or partner in our ecosystem. It is not a rulebook, but a compass: a living set of principles shaped by over a century of entrepreneurship and guided by our long-term purpose.

The Opportunity

You will operate at the intersection of accounting, systems, and transformation. Your mandate is to deliver reliable, compliant group consolidation while progressively enabling system-driven processes. Working within a complex and evolving holding structure, you will help build the foundation for standardized, transparent, and efficient financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of companies.

This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad set of entities while actively shaping how consolidation is executed in the future - moving toward automation, data consistency, and integrated systems. The role is intentionally designed for growth: starting with strong execution ownership and expanding into process improvement, system enablement, and transformation leadership over time.

Group Consolidation Excellence

  • Own the preparation and continuous improvement of consolidated financial statements

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across a multi-entity portfolio

Automation & Systems Enablement

  • Identify and drive opportunities to reduce manual processes

  • Support the implementation and optimization of consolidation and reporting tools

  • Contribute to building a scalable, system-driven finance landscape

Process Standardization Across Portfolio

  • Harmonize accounting and reporting structures across diverse entities

  • Establish consistent processes that enable efficiency and comparability

Stakeholder Collaboration & Data Integrity

  • Work closely with internal teams and portfolio companies to ensure high-quality data flows

  • Drive alignment, transparency, and strong communication across stakeholders

Your Profile

  • 3 to 8+ years of experience in accounting, consolidation, or audit

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification is a plus, but not required

  • Strong knowledge of HGB/IFRS and group accounting principles

  • High affinity for data, systems, and automation, with a curiosity to improve how things work. Exposure to automation tools such as Power BI or Python is a strong plus

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand and explain financial relationships and variances

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders and entities

  • Business fluency in German and English
