How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Global Planning Manager is responsible for the guidance, accomplishment, and enhancement of ALAM’s global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. This role connects commercial demand with manufacturing capability, ensuring "lab-to-fab" supply reliability. As a core member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team, you will guide a global team to achieve targeted inventory levels, optimize capacity utilization, enhance affiliate collaboration, facilitate accountability to outcomes, and advance the organizational evolution toward a more automated, integrated, and proactive supply chainFunctional Scope: US, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore (Manufacturing); Chalon, France (Planning Interface)

Key Responsibilities
1. IBP Process Guidance, Accomplishments & Enhancement (2-ALAM-SCM-9141-P)
Guide the monthly IBP cycle, ensuring high-quality collaboration and effectiveness of Portfolio, Demand, Supply, Collaboration, and Financial Reconciliation reviews.
Foster global alignment between Sales, Product Management, Operations, Quality, and Finance to create a unified, realistic global plan.
Prepare and present topics for the Executive Business Review (EBR), focusing on a 4–16 month planning horizon.
Identify and implement enhancement opportunities to improve the overall connectivity of the process.
2. Global Supply & Inventory Optimization
Inventory Coordination: Monitor, maintain, and achieve target DOI levels. Facilitate the optimization of Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods DOI to ensure supply reliability while proactively managing stock levels.
Capacity Planning: Anticipate and identify global supply constraints and develop or facilitate clear mitigation and resource alignment plans.
- Fleet & Logistics: Coordinate with Logistics to optimize transport (Sea vs. Air) and Asset Management for packaging/canister fleet requirements to balance capital investment with supply reliability.
3. Leadership & Change Management
Team Development: Mentor and support a team of four Global Planners across the US and Asia, fostering a culture of collaborative success and planning expertise.
Strategic Evolution: Maximize global profitability and supply reliability by aligning revenue and volume growth with strategic capital investments in asset infrastructure.
Culture of Excellence: Act as a catalyst within the Supply Chain Leadership Team to improve global KPI performance and customer trust while exercising sincere transparency in supporting individual and departmental growth.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Ideally, you bring 5–10 years of experience in multi-site, complex, or high-dependency material planning.
Guidance: Experience building and supporting global/remote teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders through connection and insight.
Technical: Proficiency with Tier-1 MRP solutions (SAP preferred) and advanced digital applications for supply chain execution.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-level insights.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in specialty chemicals, semiconductors, or the electronics material industry.
Professional certification (APICS, ASCM, ISM, or CSCMP).
Continuous improvement expertise (Lean Six Sigma, VSM, or DMAIC).
Performance "Scorecard" (KPI Framework)
Once joined, the Manager will be measured against the following metrics derived from your IBP and Scope documents:
Demand: Forecast Accuracy / Bias; reducing volatility in the 3–16 month horizon.
Supply: OTIF (On-Time-In-Full); increasing customer trust through proactive fulfillment.
Inventory: Customer DOI & Internal DOH; maintaining contract service levels and minimizing obsolete inventory.
Efficiency: Capacity Utilization; optimizing asset use across US, Asia, and France sites.
Implementation Roadmap (First 90 Days)
- Day 1-30: Facilitate the alignment of Global Planning product assignments to match ALAM’s evolving portfolio and geographic shift. Establish supportive 1-on-1s with the 4 direct reports.
- Day 31-60: Take ownership of the monthly IBP meeting cycle. Identify the top 3 supply/demand opportunities in the current 2026 outlook.
- Day 61-90: Propose a "standardization plan" for the Asia vs. US planning teams to ensure both regions are utilizing shared logic and tools as part of our organizational evolution.
