About us

VisioLab is AI-powered self-checkout for stadiums, arenas, university canteens, corporate campuses, and more. Founded in 2019 by Tim Niekamp and Iwo Gernemann, we're headquartered in Osnabrück with a US office in Boston. 400+ active systems, 3 continents, Series A closed. Our clients include teams from the NFL, NBA, MLS, and NHL. 

Every year, millions of people move faster through food service venues because of what we build.

The role

The product works. The model is proven. Now we scale it.

VisioLab is live across sports venues, university canteens, corporate campuses, and other high traffic venues on 3 continents. What we need now is someone who can dig into new markets - research them properly, build relationships on the ground, and help us decide where we go next.

A hands-on research and relationship role for someone with a few years of experience who is sharp, curious, and genuinely excited about international markets.

What you'll do

  • Research potential new markets by country and vertical - competitive landscape, buyer behavior, market size, and regulatory context
  • Build structured go or no-go recommendations that the founders can act on
  • Make first contact with potential partners, distributors, and local operators in target markets
  • Maintain a clear pipeline of market opportunities and track progress
  • Work closely with the founders and Sales to ensure research translates into real decisions

What you'll bring

  • 2-4 years of experience in market research, business development, strategy, or an international expansion role
  • Strong analytical skills. You can structure information, spot patterns, and present a clear point of view
  • A natural curiosity about new markets and the commercial instinct to know what questions to ask
  • Comfort reaching out cold to new contacts and building relationships from scratch including travel to new target countries to build on-ground relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Additional languages are a strong plus
  • A bias for action. You don't wait to be told what to do next
