Factory Operator - Skilled Trades Welcome | Nox Metals | Detroit, MI

If you are a carpenter, welder, mechanic, electrician, plumber, HVAC tech, or any other skilled tradesperson and you have ever thought about factory work: this is the listing.

You already know how to measure. You already know how to read plans. You already know how to show up, work with your hands, and care about the quality of what you build. The environment is just different. Indoors. Consistent hours. No weather days. No seasonal layoffs.

Nox Metals is a technology company in Detroit supplying aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use software and automation to supply metal to American factories faster than the industry thought possible.

We need operators to run our factory floor. 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

You will:

• Operate industrial saws and material handling systems

• Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum stock

• Run forklifts and overhead cranes

• Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision

• Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders

• Package, label, and stage outbound shipments

• Record cut data and job completion in our software systems

• Execute clean shift handoffs with 1st shift

• Keep the shop floor clean, organized, and safe

• Learn new equipment and processes as we scale and automate

• Maintain equipment

• Come up with new ideas

• Be a master of organization and cleanliness

You should be:

• Comfortable working with your hands and operating heavy machinery

• Detail oriented. You measure twice

• Reliable. On time. Every shift

• Able to lift heavy material and work on your feet for full shifts

• Willing to learn new technology. Our factory runs on software

• Low ego. You do whatever the shift requires

• Customer obsessed. Quality matters because real parts go to real factories

• Not afraid to work outside normal hours when America demands it

• The kind of person who never says "that's not my job"
