Job Description

Who we are

Sapien is rethinking how finance teams operate in the age of AI. We’re building toward an autonomous CFO -- systems that run company financials end-to-end. Our platform analyzes complex financial data in real time to increase decision cadence, prevent costly mistakes, and surface value. Sapien has caught multi-million-dollar errors, saved thousands of jobs, and returned significant dollars to customers’ bottom lines.

We partner with traditional businesses—manufacturing, healthcare, restaurants, and large enterprises to deeply understand and automate their financial workflows. We’re HQ’d by Madison Square Park in NYC and backed by General Catalyst, Neo, and top operators from Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Ramp, and Stripe (over $9M raised).

The role

Every wave of enterprise software created a new deployment model and a new kind of operator. On-prem had implementation managers. SaaS had solutions engineers. Agentic AI needs something else entirely: people who don't install software, they deploy intelligence. They rewire how finance teams think, work, and decide.

You'll be the bridge between Sapien's platform and the finance orgs we serve. You'll drop into customer environments, learn their workflows cold, and redesign them around our agents. Part strategist, part operator, part finance translator — with direct lines to our customers, our product, and our founders.

If you've ever watched a finance team do something and thought "this is insane, there's a better way" — we built this role for you.

What you’ll own

Customer Deployments

  • Run customer implementations end-to-end. Scoping, workflow mapping, deployment, training, optimization.

  • Sit with finance teams (CFOs, business intelligence, analysts), learn how they actually work, and enable their transformation for those processes onto Sapien.

  • Build the deployment playbook from scratch: repeatable frameworks for onboarding, integrating, and scaling across orgs.

Product & Strategy

  • Close the loop between customers and product. Leverage your domain expertise & turn real finance workflows into product requirements, stress-test features, and push for what CFOs actually need.

  • Support leadership on customer materials, internal strategy, and miscellaneous key initiatives.

  • Spot patterns across deployments that shape where the product goes next, working closely with engineers

What we’re looking for

  • Finance background. 2–6 years in banking, PE, consulting, or something similarly analytical. You know your way around financial statements, operating metrics, and corporate finance.

  • Strong in front of customers. You can hold a room with a CFO. You listen more than you talk, build trust quickly, and turn vague concerns into concrete next steps.

  • You build systems, not just deliverables. When you solve a problem, you make sure it stays solved. You leave behind processes, not just outputs.

  • AI-native. You use AI tools every day. You pick up new tech faster than anyone around you and you can't help but show others how to use it too.

  • High agency. You don't wait for a brief. You figure out what needs to happen and you go do it, with attention to detail that holds up under scrutiny.

How you work (values we care about)

  • AI-native. You’re energized by applying AI to transform how businesses run.

  • Ambiguity-shaping. You turn nebulous problems into a first pass and drive to resolution.

  • Extreme ownership. You identify what’s next—and do it. If you say it, it gets done.

  • Speed & hustle. You bias to action and move with urgency without sacrificing quality.
