Biomedical Technician / Biomedical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Technician / Biomedical Engineer to support a projectābased assignment (6ā9 months) focused on the inspection, safety testing, and technical verification of medical devices across hospitals and clinical facilities.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking for contract, freelance, or projectābased work in a dynamic clinical environment, with the flexibility of fullātime or partātime engagement.
About the Role
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of medical equipment used in patient care environments. You will work directly within hospitals and clinics, collaborating closely with biomedical teams and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
Perform onāsite inspections, checks, and technical verification of medical devices across hospitals and clinics
Ensure medical equipment operates safely and in compliance with local regulations, applicable standards, and hospital procedures
Conduct or support functional testing, safety testing, and preventive maintenance activities
Accurately document inspection results in maintenance or asset management systems
Collaborate with clinical staff, biomedical departments, and hospital management
Escalate identified technical issues and coordinate followāup actions or repairs as needed
Travel and work across multiple clinical sites, based on project requirements
What You Bring
Degree or qualification in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering Technology
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with medical devices, preferably within hospitals or clinical environments
Alternatively, a background as an Electronics or Electrical Technician with relevant medical device experience
Handsāon experience in medical device testing, inspection, servicing, or maintenance
Familiarity with medical device safety, quality, and compliance standards
Proficiency with MS Office and digital documentation or reporting tools
Ability to work independently, reliably, and efficiently in a projectābased setting
Strong communication skills with both technical and nonātechnical stakeholders
Good English communication skills
Valid driving license, required for multiāsite hospital work
Own vehicle
Willingness to travel extensively within the country
