We are seeking a Metabolism & Identification Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Indianapolis, Indiana.

Job Summary:

This role supports the analysis and reporting of in vitro and in vivo biotransformation studies, with a focus on analytical method development, metabolite profiling, and data interpretation. The position collaborates with senior staff to ensure high‑quality scientific output delivered on established timelines.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Perform in vitro and in vivo metabolite identification studies under appropriate regulatory compliance
  • Prepare samples, process data, and troubleshoot analytical issues to ensure accurate results
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret data and contribute to protocols and scientific reports
  • Support the development and implementation of analytical methods for drug metabolite analysis
  • Collect and process MS and MS/MS data to support metabolite structure determination
  • Maintain laboratory equipment including routine maintenance, calibration, and fault tracing
  • Provide guidance and support to junior and newly hired staff as needed

What We Are Looking For:

A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related scientific field is required.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory instrumentation with emphasis on instrument use and maintenance
  • Experience supporting metabolite profiling, data processing, and regulated laboratory workflows
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices, documentation standards, and safe lab procedures
Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy against project milestones
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while working effectively in a team environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $51,800.00 - $108,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
